In 1984, George Albert Cuevas photographed fashion model Shalom, during an acclaimed photo shoot for the magazine International Vogue. As illustrated in the spread’s last image, Cuevas’ photograph of Shalom on the street, looking at her hair, showcases the way in which his deep commitment to capturing fashion and visual art shines through in both his fashion photography and his documentary photography.
